This kit is designed for new learners of Raspberry Pi to learn Physical Computing. With this kit, a learner can practice programming the Raspberry Pi GPIO pins to interface with sensors to gather information about the physical environment, thus the term Physical Computing.

Fundamental topics of Physical Computing that this kit can be used:

  1. Digital outputs – make LEDs blink and blipping buzzer sound
  2. Digital inputs  – using appropriate resistors and switch to form a circuit with pull-up or pull-down resistors
  3. Analog input   – using LDR sensor to detect light intensity, Ultrasonic sensor to detect distance from objects, PIR sensor to detect human presence and Temperature sensor to detect temperature
  4. Analog output – using PWM to program varying voltage to LEDs and buzzer
